Captain Kathy Granfield is a licensed US Coast Guard OUPV Captain and the founder of VA Charters. She spent several years working in research laboratories at the Yale School of Medicine and the Regional Water Authority before taking on her current day job in science education. Kathy runs fishing charters on the Black Mariah, a downeast sportsfisherman her father had custom built by Wilbur Yachts in Southwest Harbor, Maine.
Joseph Esposito is a managing attorney at Franchise World Headquarters, LLC, the service organization for Subway restaurants in Milford, Connecticut, where he has been employed for the last 16 years. He holds J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Connecticut.
Captain Pat Juliano is a Mariners School graduate and an OUPV Captain (Near Coastal). He is certified in CPR and First Aid and has over 25 years of salt water fishing expertise.
Gene Stellon started his military career in the active duty Air Force. After active duty, he transitioned into the National Guard, moving from the enlisted ranks to a commission as an officer. Capt. Stellon currently serves as the commander of the 103d Maintenance Operations Flight. In hIs civilian career, he is the Director of Global R & D for Covidien Surgical Devices. He holds a BS in Electronic Systems from Central Connecticut State University and is an MBA candidate at Southern Connecticut State University.
